Yep, it's incredible how often I fall down the stairs. (And even trip myself going UP the stairs.)

I stimm out so much in my house that either A.) My motor gestures cause me to trip, or B.) My mind is so much on other things when I stimm that I fail to hit the step correctly.

I also often find myself walking up the stairs on four legs.

I broke my toe doing that once. Then I subsequently fell off a swing while trying to retrieve my crutches and gave myself a concussion.

As long as there is a handrail I'm good on the stairs. If no rail then I lightly put my hand on my wife's shoulder which I find to be just enough to steady me. If I'm alone I go down a step with one foot then the other so both are then on the same step again. Takes awhile but I get there. When people ask about it I say I have bad arthritis in my ankles. :)

I did this all the time when I was a kid. However as I got older I stopped doing it because my mum said it's toddlers behavior. A few years later I started doing it again because I was tired of walking up the stairs and tripping over my own feet. I still do it now...but oddly enough I can walk DOWN the stairs on two legs just fine.

I have to hang on to the handrail, and the opposite wall to go up and down stairs

I trip going up the stairs, which can lead to high-larity when I'm carrying food products...

Yea I trip way more often going up than down. Neither is really common though.

I actually fell down my front porch steps on saturday night  It started raining real hard and I went outside to move my grill under cover, and I went too hastily so as to avoid the rain; as soon as I hit the first step my legs flew out from under me and I rolled down the steps into the yard. I can't imagine how hilarious it would have been to someone watching that, but it was at like 1am so I don't think anyone saw me.

It's only 5 steps so it wasn't awful, one of my fingers is smashed pretty bad but whatever, could have been a lot worse.

The pride slips after the fall topic

The last time I slipped on the down staircase I twisted my ankle and I was a crutches for a month.

Terrible for others here. :(

<<< As you can see from my avatar, I fall up the stairs. Well, usually. More often than falling down.
