Anyone else here like some time to themselves with a few beers? I do and Monday night is always my beer night when i can stay up late and drink and have some real guality time to myself. But s**t is good at hitting fans as i there has been a change of plan and sure enough i have to be up at 7:30am for work on my day off!! ! Course it involves a lot of driving so drinking till 4am tonight (mon) is out the question.......And what gets me is i dare not say anything becouse i know how i would be branded an alcoholic when all i want is a drink at "my" weekend but no i cant for a good three weeks or more now. One good thing for working for a big firm and not being self employed......more "your" time.........This Tea tastes s**t LOL.

Oh what is the multi-liquor, what gets you drunker quicker, what comes in bottles or in cans? BEER! Can't get enough of it, how we really love it, makes me think i'm a man. BEER! I could kiss and hug it, but i'd rather chug it, got my belly out to here! BEER!

Beer is liquid bread it's good for yooouuu.

Personally I can't drink more than 1 a night if i am drinking it to savor the flavor, tastes like cheese and grahm crackers to me(heineken), and if i am drinking to get drunk, we've got 151 and tequilla for that.

The worst is when they call you in the morning after you've already had your beers. They want you to come into work and you have to think of a good non-beer excuse as to why you can't.

Yes I remember when I was 19, got very drunk on a night out (as the next day was my only day off in the week), I didn't get back until 4am and I got a phone call from work at 6.30am saying that 2 staff members were ill and they really needed me in. I couldnt get away with giving them a non-booze excuse as they knew I had gone out and knew I'd be hung over. So I went in and managed to do an 12 hour shift (my usual shift was 10 hours but I had to cover 2 people) even though my eyes must have looked like two pissholes in the snow and I was vomiting throughout the day. I got the next day off though which was good.

In answer to the original question, its very rare that I will actually drink alcohol when I'm by myself as I don't really enjoy doing that. I usually drink socially.

That's funny, I've got to remember that one.

Once upon a time, Sunday afternoon used to be the time when I drank beer at home. Every Sunday afternoon. Not so much now. I'll go out for a pint now and then, but really don't drink a lot now.

I quit drinking a while ago...various reasons, AS being one of them...but I used to love having a few Abbotsford Invalid Stouts at home. Or even better, Coopers Stout...or Cascade Export whenever I'm in Tasmania. I seriously doubt that there's anything like Australian stout anywhere else in the world, if you've only ever had Guinness or Murphy's then it will blow your head off. It's the short black of the beer kingdom. :D
Also loved Stella Artois...yes I do know know what you UK folk call it!! 8O 8O

Personally, I’m more of a cider man. But that may have something to do with coming from Cornwall.
