Working with autistic students - academic background

So a multipart question here

1. If someone had only one bachelors degree, and was working with an autistic student in an educational situation, what would you prefer their bachelors degree be in? (Note: educational situation does not mean only being a teacher, if someone is a teacher, they have a teacher's certificate)

2. If someone had multiple bachelors degrees/multiple majors, what would you prefer they be in?

3. What is your relationship to autism?

1) Education, STEM subject

2) Education, STEM subject

3) Autistic and work at autism education non-profit (these degrees are what I look for when I look at resumes)

Psychology also, but some people with psychology degrees have unshakeable misconceptions of autism and are not suited to educating autistic kids. But psychology is also considered.

CA Dept of Ed requires education or psychology degree if paid from state funds. Dunno about other states.
