A date with the Shrink - or my personell Asperger Diagnosis

I were going to get shrinked again... well sometimes around people specially athority figures disturbing my cirkels i can be a real pain in the.. so teacher and so like to send me for shrink shrinks diagnose me normal, same storry everytime..

Till last time, the shrink basicly tested for asperger from the begining, wich is strange seen to the rarrity and little press the syndrome gets in my home country. I were not completely suprised cause terminology of the diagnosis gave away his assumptions ... is asperger really so easy to tell? And nooffence meant but some how it seems to become some kind of cult dissorder like Borderline? And is the standart test for AS to inpret pictures with social situations?

I think Asperger's is obvious once someone points it out, but people can sit right next to a specialist and their Asperger's not be noticed. Just think of all the millions of older people who are not diagnosed because it was not tested when they were in school.

Asperger's tests look at social interactions, interests and so on - there are some links to online tests at http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt113459.html. The ones by Simon Baron-Cohen (Borat's cousin) are clinical standard tests. Diagnosis will also look at interactions with other people during childhood.

It's easy to tell. Apart from Schizophrenia, there's really nothing else that has the physical appearance/manifestation of an ASD.

Considering the difficulties that abound in the process of determination, I don't agree with the simplicity or clarity implied in your statement. There are myriad conditions that border or even share characteristics with those on the spectrum which confound both those experiences those symptoms and the doctors seeking to answer their questions.
