I'm already having a meltdown. I'm snappish, avoiding people and swearing like a sailor over little things.
Only two days until Christmas. Will I survive?

Sorry for all the posts. I'm pretty bored right now and I'm avoiding people.

Seems like forums are here for posting.

I think the next three days here will be some of the loudest this year. I don't look forward to the overstimulation or consequences of same. I feel like I got a reprieve today with a significant amount of quiet. Saving up for Christmas, no doubt.

Hope things ease up for you.

Thanks.

I've been writing some thoughts down and it did help make me feel better. That and it's almost time for me to go to bed and other people have gone to bed too.

I had an online argument with my sister and she is coming down for Christmas. I get yelled at for being offended by her because I should tolerate her. Eugh! She made my life a living hell when we were kids. She's the type of person that sees someone as strange and treats them like crap because of it.

Seems strange how that tolerating only goes one way with some people, with two separate sets of rules.

Only one bit of advice. Distract yourself. I've been getting really worked up about Christmas too, although the sister is my step-father... I think the staff at my house have been trying to distract me all day because they keep taking me out on errands and asking to spend time with me! I probably won't sleep tonight though (I'm going to my Mum's tomorrow...)

Don't worry, there's light at the end of the tunnel! Have you tried boifeedback techniques, using breathe to calm down? Sometimes it helps but sometimes it's difficult getting motivated and being receptive to it. I dread get togethers, too. They can stress me out and put me in a bad mood. I usually just hide away in my shoebox of a house until they are over :)
Anyway, good luck with yours and hope you find some fun somewhere in it!
Merry Christmas!

I'm doing better today. It's a hyper day for me.
The calm before the storm.
I should stop thinking like that.
I'll also be left alone a lot today. That is good.

Hang in there, man.

I think everyone has horrible days and meltdowns, especially us AS people.

To me, Christmas is just another day but people are a little nicer and there's some cheer (I'm not Christian).

But family gatherings suck, I hear you on that. At least you're old enough that your parents no longer tell embarrassing stories about you (I still have to go through that.)

I understand about your anxiety regarding Christmas. I am pretty worked up about going to my brother and my sister-in-law's house for Christmas. My SIL's mother is a total energy vampire and I can't be next to her for 2 minutes, she totally drains me.

Is it the amount of people that you are nervous about? How many people are you going to be visiting? I am spending Christmas with 14 other people and I'm NOT looking forward to it.

Try some deep breathing and I hope you feel better.

There's just one person I rather not see because I can get into arguments with her a lot.
It's only going to be about three people, not including me and we're having dinner.
Not a big deal but that one person.
But I'm doing some drawing therapy. Actually I'm just drawing characters from Yellow Submarine.
