Need advice re: diagnosis- Anyone from So Cal?
Especially the San Diego or OC areas? I have suspected I have AS for a few years now and really feel like I need to see a Dr. to confirm. But I am having a hard time finding a psychiatrist in this area (North County San Diego near Oceanside). I am originally from LA ("the Valley") and would be willing to go that far if the dr was worth it. Also, I have family that still lives there so I still go there from time to time. I know it's really hard to get a good one these days.
Anyone know of anybody? Thanks in advance

There is a very good support group in Escondido, run by Lisa Savy and her daughter Wendy. Wendy has Aspergers Syndrome. It's for young adults. If you type in Aspergers Support Group in Escondido you will find it. I did, I was looking because I have two friends who would benifit from it. If Escondido is to far away just type in what area you want. They should be able to direct you, They are very open to giving advice. San Diego Autism Society will direct you also. Good Luck.
Thanks! escondido is actually quite close. My husband said there is a group there he is interested in (he has diagnosed AS) and seems possily interested in going. I bet it's the same one
