Do you think there is discrimination among the autistic community (between HFA ,LFA , aspergers , pda .....) ????

Ok let me reform the question fernando talked about a revolution and some1 there talked about a country for aspies ?
Don't you if such country truly exists for autistics there would be discrimination between the different groups of the spectrum??

I don't think that would ever happen.

But i'd probably talk to the people with AS the most, as i've got nothing in common with the others.

Sounds to me like your getting at the sociological argument that even in a society of saints there will be lesser saints who will be viewed as deviants/criminals by the other saints. So by having a society compused purely of AS people we will still carry with us the faults of our socialising and upbringing which we will inherit upon our future generation.

This sound quite similar to George Orwell's Animal Farm, where pigs (the rulers of the supposed utopian society) said: "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others".

Of course there is discrimination among the autistic community. The internet is a really bad medium for people who don't have an awful lot to say. That this community is an internet community, it is automatically biased against those people. The real world is so much better, but the internet is alright when you don't have anything else.

I would think there would be discrimination because it exists among the Autism community already.
I think a Autism spectrum community [as in a live in community,not online] would be workable,but
it won't work when LFK Autistics are assumed to be unworthy of a life and HFK/AS Autistics are assumed to be all hyper intelligent and a superior lifeform.

Well, I don't think there could be discrimination problems when deep inside we are all alike. I have always considered the less functioning autistics to be my little brothers...

Exactly i believe that LFAs deserve respect too .... I think this topic hit a sensible taboo among the autistic commmunity.

I don't get it. Why is it that people are so against discrimination? Discriminatation has always been the means of asserting a singular or collective entity. All life practices this. Even those who are against the concept of discrimination are practicing the same thing. We cannot help this. Life competes to strengthen themselves because we fear and resent those who are above the ladder of evolution. This is where out inner greed kicks in; we want what we can't seem to grasp; and after we have grasped it, we still desire more and more.

The human race are the most successful of life because of this; the rest are obsolescent who are given both our compassion and our apathy -- two sides of the same coin, and that coin represents our current superiority as a species.

^^ I don't get ur way of thinking , it s not about evolution we talk here ....yea descrimination exists in nature selection i agree in this point but we are not the " nature selection " .....we are a group of humans so don't forget the Golden Rule .

It's quite simple. You are discriminating the idea of the spectrum being hierarchical -- that it needs changing -- so that people would absorb your way of thinking to justify your presence on this planet.
