You have to have a funny shirt? Or can it simply be something like the awareness shirts people have been wearing around--you know, "I Love My Aspie Child", etc.?

Asperger people do it repeatedly!

Aspies do it perseverently!

Asperger Syndrome: Laughter is just another stim.

Don't mean to be all picky and that, but isn't there a distinction between neurological and mental disorders?

Cafepress.com has several. I don't know if you have to worry about copyright things and making sure no one has used what you have. It might give you ideas but also might make it harder for you not to focus on the ideas and come up with your own.

Aspie-It's my world. Don't judge me by the standards of your world. (One I came up with). Or Asperger's is my world, NT is yours. Don't judge me by NT standards. Or something along that.

It's my Asperger's and I'll keep it. (Because I'm sick of people seeing us as things to be cured. Help me cope, yes but don't take my identity away. Not all Aspie's agree with this, I know.)

48 is interesting because when you add the 4 and the 8 you get 12 and when you turn the 4 and the 8 around you get 84 and when you subtract 48 from 84 you get 36, all which are exact multiples of the 12.

No, Asperger's is not a mental disorder. It's under the "learning disabilities" category.

... omigosh I never noticed that!! 8O
*starts turning 48s around in her head, being quite stereotypically aspie about it*

AS is a developmental disorder. It's a bit like a learning disability, and many schools categorize it that way. The main meaning of the developmental disorder category is that it's the result of a brain that develops differently from the typical.

Studying AS in a class about mental disorders makes sense, though, because it is in the DSM and included in the mental section of the ICD--along with other brain-wiring things like ADHD, learning disabilities, and mental retardation, which are also not "mental disorders" in the strictest sense of the word. Psychology classes often cover a broad group of diagnoses, which include not just the classic emotion-related psychological diagnoses, but other sorts of differences in the way the human mind can work, some of which, like autism, are present from birth and represent that particular brain's healthy state.

Is psychopathy a mental disorder?
Because psychopaths can be very interesting.

Yes, they are. And yes, they can be. Just like black holes can be interesting--but don't get too close.

Wait... am I missing something? Where did this come from?

I do this all the time with numbers except I try to relate them back to 3 somehow. Like 4+8=12, which is a multiple of 3. So many more to do in your sentence- I could spend all day!
