There seems to be a lot of neurotism which I suffer from myself but sometimes it's just too much. While it's important to express yourself, it seems like a lot of people are getting carried away with focusing on their limitations as opposed to ways to improve their situation.

Whether I have asperger's syndrome or not is irrelevant to me, the fact of the matter is I have issues that someone clumped together into a made up criteria which is completely subjective.

Some things that have helped me immensely are:

meditation, I use some kind of meditation audio track which works great

yoga, the mind and the body are not seperate, tension in the body is tesion in the mind, by eliminating this tension and improving posture you're mind works much better. I have a book about posture and it's amazing how much posture effects the body's fuctions. EVERYTHING, is connected in one way or another.

Excercise, this is a huge one as well, it's important to do strength training and cardio as well. Do an activity or sport that you enjoy and it won't feel like a chore.

Eat right, by hanging out with a friend who eats no garbage food what's so ever, my tastes have changed immensely. I look at food like mc donalds, cheetos, doritos and I'm repulsed. I used to eat that stuff all the time and that stuff is more like a drug than food to be honest. Once you notice how much better you feel it's inevitable. I mean, oranges and apples taste freakin great to me and it's like eating candy.

supplements, I take a multi vitamin, fish oil, sometimes some extra vitamin C, 5htp, Piracetam which is a noorotropic, and my body has never been better. Sin'ce I've been doing this I haven't been sick in over 2 years which is amazing to me.

remember the placebo effect, remember that you set your own limitations. The placebo effect is something that is very real and western science cannot technically explain it. In a knee surgery placebo study, 35% of the people who were given the placebo knee surgery had their chronic problems healed.

Be compassionate and thank yourself, I had a ground breaking experience when I was a sign holder for a week. Maybe I was a little bit buzzed from a cup of cofee but I genuinely THANKED myself for doing all this stuff. For waking up early, putting myself through all the stress and what not.

Everyone has an "inner critic", I have a horrible one as a lot of people do. Accept you're imperfections and embrace them otherwise we would just be robots, it's what makes us human. Everyone is the way they are for a reason, and no one is better or worse.

Anway it's very late and I can barely string a sentence together. These are just some things that I have found that have helped me. I continue to search for things that help me and I won't stop. I have spent a lot of money, time, and energy in things that haven't worked, but I wouldn't say it's wasted. Be honest with yourself, I have a word document where I keep note of things to do, and things to continue to do.

Learn to enjoy these things if they feel like chores, the more you do them the less stressful they become and the more you benefit.

If you guys have anything to contribute it would be much appreciated. <3

peace and love

I was reading your post, and I'm going to print it out, and tape it up, where I stare the most, at the blank wall above my TV. Thank you. :)

There are many noorotropics and supplements that dramatically increase brain functionality as well as overall bodily functions. I'm no expert, but just make sure you do you're research. For example, it's reccomended to take a choline supplement with piracetam. You should also cycle certain things so your body can mellow out a little.

I agree. I see a lot of posts about people focusing too much on the negative and overanalyzing. I used to be like that. It's so much of a relief to let all that go. I wake up at the same time every morning, eat well and exercise.
