Why do you think God made you an aspie?

I think that God made me an aspie, because he wanted me to live a life of freedom. God made me an aspie, because he wanted me to be an individual. God made me an aspie, because he wanted me to be different from most women. God made me an aspie, because he wanted me to love the 60s. God made me an aspie, because he wants me to be obsessed with all things London, and that includes The Kinks.

I'm still trying to figure that out myself. I ask myself that question pretty much every day. I guess we'll have to wait until we meet our creator to find out.

My answer to that question is: I don't. I don't believe it was orchestrated. I believe it just happened, and I'll just have to make the best of it.

Because he knows I enjoy twisted jokes.

I think my Aspie-ness is really a result of genetics and not of some divine intervention.

I don't know why God made me an Aspie.

One theory I have:

To help me appreciate what I have, the fact that things could've been worse. Think about it. Out of all the disorders in the world that people get from birth (including physical ones), I think that social impairment isn't really that bad.

If it just ended at social impairment I'd be fine. But I had complications starting in the womb. I'm glad I'm not intellectually challenged but it's still harder for me to do things than most. Sometimes I like to shake my fist at God when I get angry or upset. But I don't think God chose me to have AS or whatever else I do have. It's just a matter of genes passing on and not being in the womb long enough so my brain didn't completely develop.

Why did evolution make me an Aspie? So I can grab the rest of humanity by the throat and make them ascend a level in technololgical sophistication. That's what these here Aspie genes are here for methinks.

I think God made me an Aspie because he wanted me to understand that society is still unkind to people who are different despite the light skin, blonde hair, straight sexual orientation, Christian fath, and middle class upbringing that have made my life easier than some. He must have wanted a walking encyclopedia with better pitch than coordination.

many possibilities. cosmic accident, embodiment in wrong species by some mishap...if it was divine intervention maybe it was a benevolent act and not some bad karma (I hope). I'm glad I had a place to retreat to in all the insanity I grew up in plus the capacity for independent thought to know it was them and not me (initially anyway, I lost that with time and being worn down). Really can't say at this point.

I'm not religious at all, which most who read the religion forum know but I doubt there was any real reason for it, just a genetic mutation.

For the same reason Siamese twins are born stuck together, or Dwarfs only get three feet tall, or a turtle is born with two heads.

Why did God allow the Dinosaurs to dominate this planet for over 160 MILLION years and then decide to just wipe them out in a cataclysmic asteroid strike? Did they commit some heinous reptilian sin with their tiny walnut-sized brains?

Sorry, I'm really not sure why God made me this way. But I am extremely pissed off about having been put on this planet in this condition. When I get to the afterlife, we will have words.
