Well, I don't have the time right now for a complete post, sorry, hehe. I'll get back to this, but I just wanted to throw out that question =).

It's amazing what you find when you really think about that possiblity, considering his whole self and who he really was. It casts a whole new light on why, as I found out (via interviews, lyrics, etc) who he truly was as a person after his death, I found him so easy to understand and felt I could identify with him.

Again, more to come, but I was so surprised to see this idea had been raised before when I googled it. It was thrilling in fact.. another one of those, "omg, that makes sense!" And it only does make sense that he would be included as one of the greats who of course is great because of ASPERGERS (Einstein, Bill Gates, etc...).
We are gifted, genius people!

I've been saying for years he has AS but nobody believes me.

Even before I even knew myself what AS was I still thought he had "something" just like I thought about myself.

Possible but I think being abused as a child had more to his "weirdness". He was WAY too social to be AS.

when you get the right persona anyone
can be social, and most of us with mild AS
living in the ignorance of our difference
can easily become what we project.....
that is until we cannot bare the show
any longer.

I think his 'weirdnes' is more AS
than the 'weirdness' associated with
PTS. Either way we are all souls with
a neurologically and psychologically
entwined, so a hard call to make with
re MJ and AS.

I don't think he had AS, though it's possible. I think he probably had social anxiety disorder. Another reason I don't think he had AS is because I think all of his problems were brought on by his childhood, which was definitely not a good one. AS is not caused by a bad childhood or early celebrity status & I think his issues were.

Yes, he was an Aspie, along side Albert Einstein, John Lennon, Mick Avory, Craig Nichols, Peter Tork, Ladyhawk, and Bill Gates. Not to forget Heather from America's Next Top Model.

What traits of AS did John Lennon have?

Preservation
Strange Eye-contact
Didn't think before he spoke - said the wrong things
Wanted to be alone, all the time - didn't have time for his sons.
He had a temper - he told Red Robinson to F**k off on stage, here in Vancouver, in 1964.
Seemed to daydream a lot.
The songs that he came up with. Lucy in The Sky With Diamonds/Yellow Submarine/All Together Now/Strawberry Fields Forever/I Am The Walrus/Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite. Maybe they were due to that, or maybe they were due to drugs.

He didnt spend any time with his sons? 8O

No he didnt spend much time with Julian because he was only 22 when he was born and he was always busy touring with The Beatles but with Sean he spent nearly every waking minute with him. He was a house husband for 5 years.

I hope not. Sick of hearing about him, personally. He's dead, so he doesn't have it anymore.

I can't believe what I've posted in this thread, last night. I was half-baked. For one thing, the focus was on Michael Jackson. For another thing, I've just proved, once again, that I'm not a true Beatles Fan, not knowing that John Lennon was a house husband.

Yeah, the Beatles became one of my special interests after I left year 10.

After Sean was born it was Yoko who went out to work to take care of their business dealings while John stayed at home baking bread and doing all the domestic stuff and being with Sean.
