I have a new account cleaning a business in a large 200 year old house. Most of the space is unoccupied and there are a lot of large empty rooms with hardwood floors and lots of windows. I was on the 3rd floor looking out a large oval window that was set with small square panes of glass. The glass in the windows was old so it was warped. I could see a grid of the tree directly outside and the distortions in the glass made interesting changes as I moved my field of vision. So here I am standing in front of a window alone and bobbing and weaving. If anyone had walked in I would have felt very silly and I am occasionally caught in scenes like this. What do you do over and over just because it's a small neat thing to experience?

If i can be the only person in a pool with no lifeguard I will sit in the 4 foot area and so flips and swim around underwater as if I were a mermaid or tadpole. I love it.

I replay conversations in front of the mirror and try to imitate the other person's facial expressions. I should be on the stage.

Love to just sit at the bottom of a pool for a while.

I should to have loads of alone time at a pool when I worked as a life guard.

When no one is looking, I turn myself invisible.

My life is full of moments like this and I cant enumerate a' one, Aimless............but I know the moment your describing here.

I have walked in cemeteries, and note the wear on old monuments (some 150 years) and notice entire families lined up side by side 3 generations worth now 6 feet under.I notice the rich and the poor , and their buried together , and think and imagine their hopes and aspirations and the inevitable outcome.
I'm very sure my behavior is atypical here, and would elicit a weirdo remark if the passersby knew what I was up to.

Just a note: That silliness is just their point of view ,due to the 'majority' mindset, as a corollary that their behaviors are normal.

I could never understand the lack of individualism in the masses, other than theories (jung's archetypes).
Ive never read a ' scientific paper'or double blinded studies in anthropology to where anything could be distilled down to cause and effect with statistically proven data..

I'm not sorry I'm the way I am. The vast multitudes never notice the wonder around them.

I mostly play my guitar when no one is around, I just don't feel like I can play in front of people, but I am required to play a show for friends before I move this month.

I have conversations with myself, when nobody's around. That's how I solve all my problems.

When I'm alone, I go into full-blown stimming mode. I pace back and forth, walking on the tips of my toes. I tap my shoulder with my left hand, and occasionally make wild, weird hand gestures. I have been caught a couple of times and I get extremely embarrassed when that happens.

Something else I like to do when I'm by myself is trace imaginary patterns on the wall or other surface with my finger.

::Whew!:: Thank goodness this isn't another thread about booger-eating! :P

The things I do when no one is looking? Oh, lordy, I can't talk about that stuff - there's a reason why I only do them when no one is looking...

I do try to curb the stimming and talking to myself in public, though...not always very successfully... :bounce:

I have nothing specific that I do when I am alone, I am simply at ease. What I do is dependent on my surroundings, though "zoning out" is an almost consistant occurance. Zoning is the closest I come to being at peace/relaxing after spending the day in the NT world.

I tell everyone that I'm weird
so there is alot I don't care what people see but when I'm alone I make patterns out of everything.
when I could use public bathrooms I would count the small tiles that were the same color that are touching, and then find the one with the most.
count change,space out,clean
I used to be better about how I look, but the further into deppresion I go I do alot of sick things that are best wordless
