A bit of a vent, so please ignore if you wish.

This is the last weekend of the school year at my university. As such, there's an all-day party of sorts. Everyone gets very drunk and obnoxious, and there's incredibly loud music playing all day. I wouldn't mind, but it does sort of ruin my day, since it's nearly impossible to escape the stimulation. Even sitting in my room, I can hear people running and screaming in the hallway and the noise from the speakers outside - not even music, just someone pounding on the microphone. Going to the dining hall is unpleasant because people think it's cute and funny to throw food and act silly. I just get annoyed at the blatant disregard for rules and the administration's turning of the other cheek and tacitly encouraging obnoxious behavior.

Same here, but I'm planning to hang out with friends so I'm picking what kind of noise I'm hearing :).

Students are pretty disgusting creatures in every sense of the word. They are dirty little devils who have no respect for the fact that some people come home in the evening to REST and enjoy peace and quiet. And female students don't put out nearly half as much as they should.

I only survived my first two years at university because I was permanently caned.

From my third year onwards I moved into my own flat and from then on it was total bliss.

"Worst day of the year?"

Hey, I have a friend whose birthday is today - don't let her hear you say that! 8O

Murderous rampages are illegal, so that is not a viable option.
Can you push them out and lock them out?
If this is possible this may be the best option.

Weird people and their idea of fun.. This is why I dreaded nice weather days when I lived on campus - all the idiots would be outside being loud and annoying.

Might I recommend you invest in some boise(or other brand, but boise is generally considered the highest quality) sound silencing headphones? They work wonders for me when there's a party going on around me and I need to study.

That makes me happy that I'm not in College or University, anymore.:)

okay this just made me wonder, I wonder why people get louder and stupider to express themselves. I wonder why it is considered superior to everyone suddenly getting quieter and smarter one day a year.
