So I allegedly held two butcher knifes to my mothers throat and am out on 20k unscured bail and I have some pretty cool people fighting for me.

Has anyone gone thro something similar?Alot of people are telling me I most likely get probation and forced consoling but I don't believe them and think im gonna get sent away for 15 years.

I have never, allegedly or otherwise, done such a thing or even a remotely similar thing.

However one boy in one of my classes, who had ADHD and bi-polar disorder, held a knife to his mother's throat and was hospitalized for it for a month. But he never denied he did it.

OP: When you say "Allegedly" do you mean actually? If so, you're in a spot of bother. If not, well, there will be no evidence

If you have not done so already, my advice would be to seek legal advice from a lawyer.

In the mean time if the police wish to question you, simply state "sadly I am not willing to discuss anything with you without first consulting a lawyer". Also if they want to search you or anything associated with you ask the following question "Do you have a warrent or other legal authority which requires me to cooperate with your search ?". If they answer "No" then say "I do not consent to any search, please leave me alone and have a nice day"

Have not been anywhere near that situation.

You should go to the police and tell them, in as much detail as possible, what you did, what you were thinking while you did it and what things (drink, drugs, arguments) lead up to this event. Get legal advice, but instruct your legal advisor clearly that you wish to make a full and frank disclosure.

You need to have a life plan, and your mother's input may be useful - for instance does she wish to have a protective order barring contact, which would affect your residence and future psychiatric treatment.

This is certainly the best long term approach.

Any good defense attorney would advise saying nothing to the police, and said attorney would be right, whatever your intended plea.

I can't say that's ever happened to me. That's not of my nature.

You should probably not say much about it here since a smart prosecutor might actually look here for incriminating words from you.

Well, the good news is that he hasn't said anything incriminating. And he won't, I'm sure. For all I know, he didn't do it.

That is fine if you want to defend such behaviour, but has no long term value to anyone who holds butcher's knives to his mother's neck, and no value to his mother. He is sick and needs help, not an idiot defender.

A good defense attorney is not necessarily a bad thing. Navigating the legal system is a complex endeavor. A good attorney might be able to help find a balance between incarceration and counseling or other interventions.

I won't confirm or deny that I've threatened my mother and/or brothers with a cutting implement buuuut... I did get arrested when I was fourteen for ALLEGEDLY shoving her down after she hit me with a drumstick. They took me to juvenile detention, and they weren't very nice there. One woman cop asked if I wanted to hit her too and said she'd love to uncuff me and give me a shot so she could knock 'that filthy look off my face along with my teeth'. I politely declined. I was very polite to the police. I knew I was innocent and I simply cooperated with anything they said, calmly gave my side of the story, I was out in two hours with a year of probation (unrelated charge) and six months of family counseling.
