You're describing the feeling of fate. Many, many others have felt this way throughout the course of history. Fate has been romanticized through the ages. And yes, I feel it often, and I understand why so many people are theists because of it.

is hard to remember life before the Internet, isn't it? It's the same with cell phones. Yet we all got along just fine back then. We didn't feel that there was something missing or lacking.
