Because I can't stand the awareness that there could be a secret about something, that something is hidden and we don't know the answer. Once I read on some other AS board that one poster described it in this way that for him a secret wasn't a beauty to worship but an ugly abomination which I fully agree on.

Secrets are for different reasons. Some are important to keep. Some should be exposed to the light of day. The keeper of the secret has to trusted to make the correct decision.

I don't like secrets. I don't like people telling them, I don't like telling them and I don't like keeping them.

Sometimes I can keep one some times not. Its tricky for me, as my mouth runs wild sometimes and things slip.

I reread my own thread and your answers and I see now that I didn't specify what I meant by secrets - I meant secrets not as personal secrets like "why they divorced", "are they close friends or gays/lesbians as others suspect" or "what illness makes him look so terrible" etc. but rather secrets in the meaning of scientific secrets (like what black holes really are and stuff) or those concerning the history of the world, conspiracy theories - if they are true etc. :D

I'm not telling,it's a secret :)

I see what you mean, things like mysteries that no-one knows the answer to,so they're secret in that way.Yes,I like those sort of things and reading about theories people have to try and answer them.

But I'm not interested in those theories anybody can come up with but in the objective truth hiding behind the mysteries :D Like the Bermuda Triangle and if aliens really visited the Earth and what happened to the Beaumont siblings and if the recent Tu-154 crash was Russians' attempt and what happened to judge Crater and Jimmy Hoffa and what the Vatican hides in their libraries and so on :D How it REALLY looks like :D

I actually joined a secret society for this very reason.

Me too,I prefer the objective arguments against them.I read a book about the Bermuda Triangle by an author called Lawrence D Kushe
who had studied all the cases and come up with rational explanations. I found The Da Vinci code fascinating, but I knew myself that some of the things claimed were ridiculous. The idea that Rosslyn Chapel gets it name from the "Rose Line" is silly.because the name is simply from Scottish Gaelic.

As a Christian, I'm fascinated by the mysteries of the Bible. I love thinking about them and asking my wise dad to talk to me about them. :)

It depends.....if we're talking about secrets/mysteries regarding myself, my brain functions, etc....then no, I don't like them at all.

If we are talking about secret/mysteries outside of myself, especially in terms of anything
having to do with the "supernatural" or the "occult", then I do "like" them.

I used quotation marks around "like" because I can't really say I "like" such things or "dislike" them....i'm just fascinated by them.

That is.....I don't like them in same sense that I like spaghetti and meatballs or dislike like them in the sense that I dislike nazism.

If this makes any f**king sense at all.

I enjoy traveling to and wandering around places that are associated with ancient mysteries.

They give you something to think about. I'd really like to know what the purpose of the universe is (if there is one). That one bugs me.
