I now have a better job role because of my Asperger's diagnosis.

I have been working as a support worker, supporting project workers with learning difficulties in a campaiging organisation - run by and for people with learning difficulties - for nearly 5 years.

Since 1st April I am now a Project Worker, like the peoople I was supporting. This means I get to do things rather than just support others to do them. The organisation id seeking funding for me to do a project on Asperger's. The project worker role has more responsibility and you can make decisions. It is also a bit more money which helps! I am still only working 14 hours though, but I manage finacially.

Asperger's is seen a social learning difficulty and that it can present other specific learning difficilties. Whatever peoples feelings on that, I'm fine with that.

As wel as social learning difficulties I have difficulty learning if I don't see the logic in something.
