How many of you find that just about everything bothers you when you just get out of bed in the morning? This happens to me, especially when I leave my room right away after I get up. I find that I have to just lay down in bed for an hour and just kind of wake up before getting out of bed and leaving my room/

Yeah, that happens to me too. Not much option during school days, though.

I don't like waking up abruptly. I awaken slowly and at strange hours, like four in the morning, only to get sleepy again at seven. I drink a cup of coffee when I wake up. My mind is fuzzy without a daily caffein infusion.
If someone calls me when I am asleep, they try to hang up asap because of the way I sound when I first wake up. Friends said they feel terrible about waking me up because I sound like I want to be sleeping more than anything in the world.
Morning is not my favorite time, even though I have the most energy then.

Yes, very much. When I lived with my parents I was utterly incapable of socializing in the morning. My stepmom was a morning person and would say a cheery "Good morning!" every day. All I could say was "ugnnuh..." Plus, everything is so bright in the morning, it's terrible.

I find that I seem to be the most sensitive, when I first wake up. I also find that I have to have an hour and a half, to eat, go on the Internet and listen to my music, before I wait for my ride to work.

I think that happens to most people. Or maybe not most, but a lot. 50%? I don't know, I'm pulling numbers out of my butt. But it definitely happens to me.

I'm the opposite. I cannot control when my morning is and it often comes too early, but I'm glad for everything when I wake.

In the evenings, unless I'm alone and in total silence, I'm always about to snap.

I'd imagine the difference has something to do with personal rhythms.

I usually feel "off" in the morning. Everything that I find I have managed to get reasonably well in hand mentally by the time I'm supposed to go to sleep has vanished by morning. It's not the total clean slate thing that affects some people, which is pretty awful. It's like not remembering much but feeling like I have to start over and re-learn everything I forgot. Some mornings it will all come back to me fairly quickly, but many times I will wake and come up with something new to do instead of continuing what I was doing the day before. I do the things I must and the rest piles up because I start over, if not every day, at least too often.

I must lie awake for at least a few minutes before even getting up. If I do not, I am extra sensitive to everything and may not recover all day. I find driving to be extremely difficult if I just jump out of bed and rush out of the house.

I don't know what you call it but I hate mornings and I try to avoid them if at all possible. I find that early afternoon is a much better time to get up. I work past midnight though so that is just my schedule. i hate mornings and mornings hate me. I don't drink coffee and people know to just leave me alone in the morning if I happen to be awake during one.

Oh definitely. I'm definitely not a morning person by any means. Takes me ages to wake up and get out of bed too, like at least 30 minutes. :/

if it involves other people who are up before me and making noise i sometimes won't get up or leave my room because i just want to be alone. one of the major reasons i'm going to have my own flat soon. sometimes i like getting up and getting out of the flat. it is a good start i find.

I'm actually at my best in the morning, provided I first have my little routine of a cup of coffee in the silence while I peruse the internet.

I hate getting out of bed because I love the feeling of being cocooned in blankets, warm, with my eyes closed and my face buried in a pillow. Being in bed muffles the world around me, which is always a nice relief. When I'm having a bad day I love to go back to bed, not necessarily to sleep but just for that comforting feeling that comes with it.

The world seems harsher when I first wake up and get out of bed. It's so hard to focus on anything because everything is buzzing around me. And alarm clocks are terrible, because they're too rude of an awakening. I prefer using my iPod alarm to wake me up in the morning to music that I like. That way I will slowly get lured out of bed by the good music, and the adjustment is less sudden.
