Obsessions du jour that I have:

Listing my lists. And writing about why I list. Sometimes the writing is longer than my intended list.
Puritanism (ok, that got drilled on me the past couple weeks, but I'll let that slide).
HFA and Asperger. Isn't it the reason why I'm here?
Learning about others' obsessions is an obsession unto itself.
Internet vulnerabilities (I couldn't do a SQL injection worth a damn but fascinating why so many networks get hacked)
The winter. Full stop.
My life or learning why I have Autism. (Doesn't it feel puzzling that my dad once called me "ret*d" sight unseen when I was less than a year old?)
Learning what happened in the world the day I was born (thanks internet)
Telephone exchange names and phone numbers. It's my weird obsession because a) I don't talk on the phone too often b) it's a puzzle to see which numbers had their names (yes many of these prefixes from Way Back Then still exist) c) I did not exist in this body Way Back Then and d) doesn't it feel more gratifying yet awkward (again that's what my goal is, to be awkward yet effective) to say/write a phone number like "NAtional 8-[something]" or "STerling 3" or "DIstrict 7?" :boggle:

Not including some random song that I become obsessed with for a day, I'd say Aspergers, hence why I joined this site. Before that, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

So THAT'S where all the pony avatars are coming from! Thanks, dude.

Because a lot of people like the show, and part of the show's culture is putting ponies everywhere, as they are adorable, and they have great reaction faces, or something. People just do, expecially since everyone else does it.

There is also a sterotype that the watchers of the show have Aspergers, or visa versa.

Oh, I just watched the first episode and I noticed that the most common demographic is 13-17, so I suppose that's why it's so popular for aspies (The average "Social maturity" age and all). I also noticed that the main pony character was really averse to making friends and hated parties and wanted to focus on the 'mission', and I guess many aspies can relate to that.

The Wild West, especially the anime/manga "Trigun".
Roleplaying with my closest friends (on MSN).
Pokemon. I was about 10 years old when I got interested in it, because my classmates played it. It also helped me getting away from my depression. And I'm 22 years old now, and still a fan of it. Imagine.

Oh, and astrology.

I don't really have one right now. It's been quite a while since I've had a real strong interest in anything. Even my usual ones like football aren't as important to me anymore.

Making stuff!
lol! It's what i've done as long as I can remember.

Every single day for me is incomplete unless I paint/sculpt/write/draw/compose/forge/carve/cast something for at least an hour. I don't really "relax" like other people do. I just start new projects.

Lately I've been teaching myself to carve musical instruments from bamboo.
It is especially satisfying because it fulfills my need for making music and carving at the same time.
