Hey everyone,

Does anyone else shake involuntarily when angry, or at least when facing confrontation? It's a weird physiological response. You know, I wonder if it's not related to the amygdala, as it controls the whole fight/flight thing. Adrenaline and such. So, I've been trying to figure out if it's related to AS or what?

Once again I love this forum for its low numbers of trolls and the generally inconsiderate.

I've gotten the shakes from being angry before but it was because this guy was messing with me. I thought he was touching me weird and before he kept coming from behind me and hugging me and didn't know how to handle it. Eventually I got mad and told him to never touch me again.

I haven't been in a confrontation, like on the street, in a long time. I never get in physical fights or start anything like that, but I've scared myself before because I don't seem to get scared in those types of situations. But that sort of thing hasn't happened in a long time.

Ah, good for you. I seem to shake at the slightest provocation, like now, with a seriously irksome internet troll. I just washed my hands of him, but my fiancee is still dukin' it out. He's not such a random troll. But, in face to face confrontations, I shake especially. Like a cold Chihuahua.

Only when I get so mad that I am having to fight myself from doing something really stupid

but what you are describing is an androgenic response...some people do this, some people dont.
