I've had this desire to pet my one friend's head practically since I've met him... its getting ridiculous. Its pretty much constant now but its 50 times worse when I'm around him (not much over the semester break). Any idea how to curb this or get over it?

Sit on your hands? Seriously, the only way to overcome a compulsion is to deny it.

Pet his head, and then when you come out of hospital after the broken bones have healed you will be cured of your compulsion.

*snicker*

I've got one friend who touches things habitually. She doesn't offend me, nor anyone else I've met. Maybe your friend won't mind, either. But yeah, if you can stop from doing it, then do. It's generally considered impolite to touch other people unless they are very good friends indeed.

Do it, and get it over with. Tell him he had a fly on his head.

I think that sitting on your hands, is a very good idea.

Why would I end up in the hospital for broken hands?
