Could anyone tell me what the general symptoms of Aspergers with comorbid paranoid schizophrenia? Particularly, how aspergers might affect the schizophrenia.
I think my little sister has it, but i'm not sure.
& some somewhat serious issues have come up lately concerning her making distressing accusations which i highly doubt are true, but could have legal ramifications and potentially ruin people's lives, and also noticing some odd behavior from her lately, like a few days ago she told me the mailman was stalking her.
She's about 9 & just started her period, if that's in any way relevant.

So she has Asperger's?
If that is the case sometimes we can be paranoid and maybe us girls are worse. I know my daughter (turning 18 this month and AS) is basically afraid to leave the house without someone with her and she has been like that for many years now. One time the dogs got loose and a guy was trying to help her catch them and she swore that he was trying to go after her and wanted to rape her. It could possibly be part of her AS but I should think a doctor should be informed especially if she is hearing voices....like people saying things to her from the TV or thinking people she passes in the street are accusing her of things. My older son dated a girl who had schizophrenia and she self medicated, which made her even worse, she would tell me that people were talking about her and she thought she had implants from aliens. She would say things to people on the street, call them names because she thought they were talking about her. One time she swore at some poor woman because she thought she kept saying her name when she was actually talking to her little 4 year old daughter whos name sounded nothing like her name.

she seems like she has at least aspergers.

& yeah, recently she's saying that the mailman was stalking her, & reporting seeing two men in rocking chairs in her room that talk to her, & now she's accusing all sorts of people of close to the family of sexually molesting her. All of which makes no sense.

she's always been really moody and sensitive. really quiet & then just outbursts. Also, i've noticed she tends to lie about things.
& even when she had her first period it was dramatic because she lost feeling and sight temporarily in one half of her body when it happened and we had to take her to the hospital.

First of all, why did you double-post?

Second, from your clarifications here, seriously, don't ask a bunch of Aspies to come up with a diagnosis over the internet based only on the reports of a guy talking about his little sister.

My (completely unqualified) advice (which should be taken with a grain of salt) would be that she'll grow out of it and her numbness is unrelated but might be serious. And be sure the mailman really isn't stalking her.

Are your parents worried? If it keeps up, maybe you could see a doctor... though I'd be wary of that, personally. If you're really worried, talk it over with your mother. (Or father. Whoever's the levelheaded one.) Maybe talk it over with her GP.

well, the title of the other topic didn't seem all that effective at first & i didn't know how delete the topic to repost it with a new one.

& also i am very sure the mailman isn't stalking her
for one thing it's actually woman, not a man.

& yes, my parents are worried. they're divorced though, so they're not particularly effective at making a coordinated effort.

Anyways, i wasn't really asking for any kind of professional level diagnosis, just information that might be helpful. & normally i wouldn't ask, but things are pretty serious over here as CPS is becoming involved, and so i thought i'd grasp at straws.

In every case that sexual assault is raised, I would incline to take the claim seriously enough to have it evaluated - at least by a psychologist / psychotherapist.
