Lightning is so beautiful. One day, I was driving home from a graduation party and it was night. Every so often, the sky in front of us lit up like nothing else. It was absolutely beautiful. I am completely fascinated by this. Who else is?

I am! I love lightning. Whenever there's a thunderstorm here, which is rarely, I like to go out on the porch and watch. It's amazing. I've tried painting lightning but I just can't seem to convey the right sense of power and beauty.

I love thunderstorms, the sound is exciting and I like the flashes of lightning.

I LOVE thunder & lightning! The scent of ozone, the air feels heavy, and the sky is tumultuous.

Last week, whilst driving in town, the sky light up, and, at the same time, a vivid rainbow.

I walk each day in the nearby field and watching the lightning is the best. The sky is intense during the phenomena, like it's connected to the earth. Also, where I'm from, the soil needs nitrogen and lightning conditions provide this nutrient.

Thunder scares me, because it's sudden and I don't expect it. Indiana weather means tons of storms, so eh.

I live in the lightning capital of the world (Tampa). I enjoy the lightning much more than the beaches.

What I think is more impressive, is the redish lightning that goes on in the stratosphere. I saw it on telly the other day.

One of the coolest things is watching lightning at night when the storm is far enough away that you can see the entire cumulonimbus cloud illuminated from bottom to top. A lot of people don't realize just how huge thunderstorm clouds can grow to be, almost twice the height of mount Everest.

Add me to the list of lightning lovers but not for the reasons you think. As a baby I screamed the place down whenever there was a thunderstorm so my every time the thunder and lightning headed our way my mother sat me on her knee and sang lullabies. Ever since then I've loved thunderstorms.

Only time I'm ever manic, during a good thunder and lightning show.

Back when I did archaeology, there would always be at least 1 night during field school where it would storm. Crazy fun. Being outside in it with the only shelter being a metal shed and the only tree for miles around. Good times, good times.

I am fascinated by it...I hate the noise, though, and to this day cannot sleep through a thunderstorm no matter what. (Which is actually a good thing because it means I'm going to be awake for the tornado siren.)

I love lightning. If there's an electrical storm in my area, and it's night time, I like to stand at my window, until it's over. I like how it lights up the night sky.

I would--but mostly I'm usually just ticked off that I'm awake past when I need to be. I am a VERY light sleeper...I don't get good quality of sleep, so anything that cuts into that time is a very unwanted intrusion.

(On the other hand, when I stay in this one hotel at work, I could get endless entertainment from watching the cityscape below. It may sound weird, but I am utterly fascinated with the pattern of the traffic lights down the street, and all the traffic patterns.)
