It seems that (at least in the US) the cards are stacked against me before i even get to the table. I dont go to nightclubs, i dont have sensory issues, i just dont know how to socialize.

I had teachers in high school who saw my DX and said, "I dont believe in that crap, sit down and shut up"

Ive never owned a car, i have enough trouble navigating traffic on a bicycle, the US is a very "car-Centric" country. "bus people" are looked down on.

People dont take me seriously, i even fumbled my way through a 911 call years back, i saw a car accident in front of my high school, i called 911 and told them and *facepalm* gave them the license plate numbers of the cars involved, they seemed to dismiss me, it was almost 20 minutes later that a cop happend to come by the school and see what happened.

Landlords in my city even stipulate in the classified ads, that they require the tenant to have a car (is that even legal)

Pawn shops have tried ripping me off, years back i had a gold chain that i wanted to sell, i had it appraised and it was worth over a thousand dollars, the guy at the shop offered me 36 dollars.

i pay full price for everything because i dont find out about discounts until after the fact. for example, i bought a greyhound ticket in person with cash at the depot, got on the wifi-enabled bus, got out my laptop and found out that if i had purchased online with a credit card, i could have saved almost 20% on my ticket.

i feel that our credit scoring system is wrong. people you dont know keep a file on you and you have to pay them in order to see it (FICO score, not annual free credit report) these people also use tactics that not disclosed to the consumer, to share the information with other people.

in my opinion, the FICO system is blackmail except they wont tell you the secret, they just get you blacklisted for everything, even health insurance (which i cant get b/c of AS being a pre-existing condition)

i know this sounds wrong, especially in politically correct america, but i feel discriminated against.

That is appalling. And this is so even though I just wrote that a teacher has to start off authoritarian, and then ever so gradually loosen up, but not like this! This is an attack. The teacher just wants to numb you out so that his or her job will be easier.

this guy was a special ed english teacher of all people. i always had trouble with reading comprehension and whenver i asked a question, he would simply tell me to shut up and that if i had read the piece i would know the answer. i failed english that year, but oddly enough passed a mainstream english class with flying colors the next year.

And to the initial question, Do I ever feel like a second class citizen? Yeah, all the time, especially when I'm not working. And in here in the United States, or I guess in any advanced economy, people are judged so heavily by having a job and by the status of the job they have, even though we can and in fact do contribute in other ways!

And I'd also ask that we consider what a current 10% unemployment rate, or even a 5% unemployment rate, what that really means, and from time to time, take a real look at the social justice aspects.

The guy is a disengaged idiot. He's either hung-over, or he might just as well be hung-over.

And I'm glad you passed next year's English class with flying colors!

when they talk about a 10% Unemployment rate, remember that the real figure is around 18%. UI does not account for people who have stopped looking for a job. dont take this as me being a socialist because im deinfitely NOT, but i think that the captialistic system punishes the poor for being poor, but offers no way to ascend the ladder.

And, as I understand it, part-time workers seeking full-time are counted as employed

Do you have any tricks that help you with reading? Tricks may not be the right word, methods, more like methods that help you with reading in some situations?

I do agree the poor get taken advantage of. Starting from the bottom and working your way up takes a long time. It is a difficult and long ladder to climb.
I feel discriminated against all the time. Dealing with government agencies always seems to one lesson after another from the school of hard knocks. In stores, I am either being constantly bothered or completely ignored by sales people.

Precisely why I'm so miserable. There is no way to get things right in life.

I get treated like one but that's because the people who treat me like that can't tolerate anyone eccentric.

I am so glad I am really big and loud so when someone tries s**t with me I can at least make them become in fear of an asswhooping. When black people are called the n-word they do not hesitate to get in someones face about it. That is the only way NT's will show someone they see as less than them respect. :x

Yes, in every walk of life too. It happened when I was a kid, as a teen, & all of my adult life. I've long since given up trying to correct it, since it's just a waste of my time.
