To tell or not to tell ?
Hello,
Here is the problem :
One of my friends has Asperger but doesn't known it. I knewn him as gifted since I met him 5 years ago. His life is complicated, many problems at work (he changes work every 2 years and sometimes has no), our relation is made by a lot of friendship so it is possible to go on (but sometimes it is very difficult).
Now that I know more about Asperger, it is very easier for me. There are a lot of behaviours I now understand and I couldn't accept before.
I think it would also be easier for him if he knewn, if he sees he is not alone, if he could just read "wrong planet".. but I feel, he doesn't want to know anything ! (he doesn't have a look at the sites I give him, for the moment I didn't give him to read about Asperger, he does not even known the word).
Before I tell him (?) I should have your opinion, your opinion of Asperger..
I am not God and perhaps there would be much harm in telling him...Just want him happy, just don't known what to do..
Thank's

I have been in this situation before. Tell him that you have Asperger's, saying "Just so you know" and then plead him to research it.
My friend knew that I have had it ever since I met him, and he researched it, called me, and said that he had similar traits. He was not ashamed at all.
