Anyone ever read Good Grief Third Grade?

I read it before, perhaps twice, and I want to bring the novel up because it was interesting how I took things literally and I didn't understand some parts of the book.

I remember many years ago I was reading this part where Marsha tells Roger "Be careful, garbage pickup is today" and I got so confused because Marsha didn't like Roger and they were enemies and so I was like "What!?!?! Why is she being nice to Roger, warning him about something?" I asked my mom about this and she told me that Marsha was implying Roger was a piece of garbage. I wondered if NT kids were reading this, would they understand what was going on?

I haven't, but I'd like to give it a shot.

Actually believe it or not. I didn't read novels until the fourth grade because get this. Novels used to have headers that read as the title, and the chapter. I'd read one page, then get confused why the next page behind would have a chapter's header, the preceding page has a title header. Because of my wacky brain. It became confused. And Since I was already P.Oing off the teachers with my questions. (And I ask alot of them in life. Because I want to make things work, and somehow don't feel if I get ALL the information I'll screw up. Yea I suck I know), I didn't want to ask them. So I forced myself to just keep on going. It really is if I landed on this strange planet and quite confused with the way things work on this planet. lol. Either that or I suck at life.
