I like bouncing a little ball and today was playing with a pencil topper that squeaked. Parents HATE my stim items LOL! For the past few Birthdays I've gotten those small party balls since they know I love them so much LOL! (bounce them on my desk or toss/catch them) It's relaxing and fun. :-)

Nobody notices mine. It's amazing, my ninja stimming powers!

Repeat word/senteces in very low or very high pitches. My family used to hate that so I stopped.

shuffling my feet when i'm sitting down, rubbing the arms of a chair when i'm sitting having a conversation, clenching my hands - dont know if they are stims or just annoying habits

Since I'm not officially diagnosed, I am not going to claim I stim, but I sure do have a lot of tics. I've been known to space out, bounce my leg, wiggle my foot, rub my nails on my fingers, rub smooth surfaces, pull my hair in 4s, rub my cheek, play with my lips... and many more.

So far, my husband only gets annoyed when I'm doing any of these too close to him or for a long period of time.

We use to have a ferret when you slid your feet back and forth real fast it would get excited run in a circle then try to run and in someones pants legs. 8O

I use to rock at school but second grade special education teacher broke me of it with the help and consent of my parents. My pacing and foot tapping has gotten me in more trouble than I care to admit because it makes people nervous because of my size.

I like to stare at my fingernails because I like how the light reflects off of them. Whenever my dad sees me staring at my fingernails, he'll go "are your fingernails talking to you?"

I would answer back "Yes, and they say ____"

Everyone pretty much tolerates all of mine.

As far as i know, no one is bothered by any of my normal stims most of the time. If i start bouncing my leg in the car, my dad always thinks the engine is about to explode, and when he finds out it's me bouncing he says to stop(but i often forget and start it again).

If i get bored and start fiddling with something, spinning something, or bouncing something that makes a noise then people have told me to stop... but that's about it. My normal stims(rocking, swaying, leg bouncing, foot flapping, hand/finger shaking, etc.) aren't usually noisy(unless i'm sitting in a squeaky chair or something), so there wouldn't be any reason for anyone to be bothered by it.

OMG. My boyfriend got me a large bouncy ball filled with water and lilac-colored glitter. I just spin it and throw it and watch the sparkles spin around and around and around and once I took it to a meeting with my teachers and my case carrier took it away from me  and then played with it. Mean.
She has this crazy giant stuffed gorilla though, which I must admit redeems her slightly in my eyes.
My mom hates when I walk in circles. She says it makes her "agitated." ... That's the one I can't give up though.

My mom doesn't like my leg bouncing.

I used to do the hand-flapping thing, but my dad and brother teased me about it so I forced myself to stop.

When I was a kid I flapped my hands a lot and had some pretty crazy tics. They all disappeared though.
Used to drive my parents crazy.

Nowadays they are the ones with tics :P

I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but I didn't know exactly what hand flapping was. So, I looked up videos on youtube. I don't know why I couldn't figure it out on my own, and now that I've seen it I realize that I did that all the time as a kid. It freaked out the other kids, and my mom always asked me if I had something on my hand.

I haven't done it in years, though.
