When seeing someone for an evaluation...

...do you recommend bringing in a written list of the types of traits you have observed? Perhaps not naming what is suspected, but spelling out what is there.

After the last failed attempt, I am starting to think of trying again, as I am now starting to have concerns that auditory processing issues may get in the way at work, and I'd like to try to do something before I have a screwup that costs me.

I find that feedback from relatives helps a lot too, you might do things that they see and you do not realize. My therapist didn't think I had AS until relatives complained that I talked too much about birds, and that I had horrible social skills, like no small talk and other stuff that the therapist didn't see.

thats what i'm planing on doing. in copy of my iep all of them say the same thing i have a heard time with peers. :wink:

It's the feedback from others that got my attention, in addition to my own awareness that I was not fitting in and having a hard time connecting. Now I suspect it will be more difficult in my case because I suspect PDD rather than true AS...but I definitely intend to mention that feedback. Actually having my family in on this--I have my reasons not to, though.
