- Taking control over the media in (Sh)Italy and pushing for "privacy" laws, even though everyone knows its for Berlusconis personal protection against prosecution. What is good for Berlusconi is good for the Maffia.

Why would you be right or left wing...
You should just choose between ideas and pick the one you think they are the best,not because it is right or left.
National socialism,communism,fascism,liberalism etc... they all have atleast a few good points,the thing is to combine all the good things from different political ideologies and make your own perfect political ideologies.
That's the only thing that would work.

Keyword is "religious". Also, I'm pretty sure there's consensus that blowing up abortion clinics is an act of terrorism. It has nothing to do with social norms, there is no social norm conflict.

Real politicians don't start wars over emotions, that's just a tool used to sell it to the masses. Yes, it's true that many right-wing people are very vocal about the Iraq war, but any political activist is about their religion. Every G-something is met with hordes of leftist protesters which riot and are loud, and often violent.

Calling people who disagree with you "sociopaths" is not okay. It undermines any chance we have of debating real issues instead of having all our arguments devolve into name-calling. Just so you know, I am more-or-less a liberal.
