Well, I turned 24 today, and looking back...there is a lot in my life that I would like to have traded. I would have liked to have gone through high school without feeling like a social reject. I would have liked to have actually had gained more friends/relationships and crawled out of my metaphorical shell instead of isolating myself for so long. And above all, I wish I could have taken more risks-- that I could have used my time to do something like write a book, or take up archaology, or do something like that.

I dunno, maybe I'm just overreacting. Is it wrong of me to be so mopey on turning 24? Is there a brighter side I'm just not seeing?

Happy Birthday.

Just wait until you turn 40, like I just did.

You are young enough to make some changes in your life.

My friend recently turned 23 and he got the same existential crisis. I think it's pretty normal.

I turned 33 today (July 21st).

Birthday buddies! :P

Because of a similar crisis I started training in martial arts at the age of 22.5 . Maybe it's time for you to start a new activity, because you clearly want to. And start fading out those high school memories, they're of no use to you anymore. High school was a special hell.

My only consolation with the existential crisis is that now I could totally beat the crap out of the younger me from 10 years ago ;)

Oh and my game project is far along.

Yeah, the bright side is that you're coming to this realisation now, and that you're still young.

You could have come to the same conclusion for the first time when you were 50, and then you might well have wished that you were 24 again so that you could have taken up archaology, written a book, taken more risks, etc.

The only logical conclusion is that you should start doing those things now to avoid future regrets of a similar nature.

I hated my last birthday. I don't think it was because of regret, because I'm not as old as.. ahem, I mean, because I'm not old.

Kev I understand where you're coming from. But man you are still young yet. Try not to be so hard on yourself.

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEV!

I just turned 25 and now I am going to start aging. I hear it starts in your mid twenties. For one, your fertility level drops. I sometimes miss the years when I was young. Late teens.
