Could use some help
Hi, I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong place, or if I should even be posting this here at all. However I am part of a web comic community who has recently come under attack by a person who I recently discovered is autistic. He has been constantly spamming people, signing up people's e-mail accounts to numerous mailing lists, and making threats to people who he believes "attacked" him. An attack in his eyes is anyone disagreeing with him. He was eventually banned from the site but that only made things worse. He signs up for 5-10 new accounts a day, has looked up people's home addresses and personal information. The reason I'm here seeking help is because he feels his actions are justified, and he doesn't seem to understand that his actions are sever over reactions. I'm not sure if it's the autism or something else, but all of us would just like him to leave us alone, he's even pulling other people in who have no part in anything and then also bullying them when they don't agree he is in the right. So please if anyone can help, possibly talk to him, anything. I don't feel he's dangerous, and I doubt he'd hurt anyone, but other people are scared. Thanks for your time.

You can be sure his or her autism has nothing to do with that, and welcome to WP!

==================================
If you combine aspie obsession with the same curiosity that makes some aspies into hackers, add some resentment against people in general for the past discrimination of some against your differentness and finally, abandon moral sensibility, then you could turn into a someone like that.
I have met aspies who are extremely anxious and bear grudges, to the point of paranoia, and constantly misinterprete the actions of others as attack, and feel a constant compulsion to fight back. One of them, a savant, has even been banned from WrongPlanet.
I feel empathy for someone who gets his head into that kind of state, because I understand some of the feelings, even though I have never done something like that. You can refer him to WrongPlanet, though -- if he's open to help and understanding, we may be able to assist.
You have every right to do what you need to do to keep things comfortable for the others in your comic community. Even if he is feeling hurt, he does not have a right to hurt others.
