Believe it or not, someone threw an iced tea can at my back, while I was riding my bike in the neighborhood. I think people are so dumb when it comes to the fact that it is not necessary to provoke others when you can see a counselor and be a changed man.
Ever since then, I have been afraid to walk on the side of the road.
Someone chucked a basketball at me when I was riding my bike once so I can believe it.
I was once struck high on the forehead by a 10-oz juice bottle thrown by someone in a small pick-up truck as I jogged along a sidewalk in 1986 in Waterloo, Ont. They stopped, watched me collapse on the sidewalk, then sped away, peeling rubber and roaring with laughter. It took 7 stitches to close the wound and the scar is still blatantly visible.
