I was just curious if anyone has had either an obsession with weather or with money.

with stocks, yes. not really money in material sense.

Cool, I love stocks. That was a quick reply. I am a value investor, but that strategy didn't do too well in 2008.

My mom's like that with both weather and money. She doesn't have a diagnosis of AS though, but she definitely does have traits.

The reason why I ask is because I have been diagnosed with NLD, ADHD, and AS and I was wondering whether a stock market obsession would be considered an "obsession" under AS or because it is an activity that neurotypicals like and the adrenaline of being able to lose or gain real money that it is a "normal" obsession. My mom has doubts about my AS diagnosis thinking it is more along the NLD pathway. I lost a significant amount of money last year, but I still managed to beat the S&P and the DJIA.

I actually have NLD as well. As for the stock market, I think that's a perfectly normal activity. My mom plays the stock market all the time, except at the current moment for obvious reasons. But we've gotten a *lot* of money out of it, so it's all good. I don't know much about it myself, but I can talk to her about it.

A long-term focus with the stock market is very helpful to have.

I am a business owner at heart, I love the idea of defining my own pay rate. When I own a business someday, it will be a fun toy, and hopefuly get quite big... That is, if I manage to own a business.

More weather than money. And how different weather can be on the bottom of a mountain than at the top.

The money....I wish.

I was absolutely crazy about meteorology when I was nine. I had my own weather station, I learned how weather systems, including hurricanes, work, I constantly watched videos and read books about these things... It was lots of fun. I was the same way about microbiology when I was eight.

If you want weather then I'm you're girl.

Maybe I should whip out my old microscope... It was more powerful than the ones my highschool has.

I check the weather forecast maybe 4 times per day online I especially am interested in Thunder storms and lightning.

I am more obsessed with clothes softner, I tend to horde it. I love having different smells for washing my clothes with and the amount has to be right so the clothes are lovely and soft.
