I'm starting a thread to discuss managing your money (or the lack of money management). I've had a long period where I had good intentions. But I either didn't stick with the action plan or didn't grok good money management. Let's hear it from the board...

I fit the Scottish stereotype of being mean with money.
Of course not all Scots are like that and certainly I'd say the majority aren't. I just am, purely and simply because of my problems holding down employment.
I'm fairly good with money. Recently I lost my job, so I'm on my unemplyoment insurance (80% of my previous salary).
It's OK, allthough I still see money as nothing but a necessary evil.
