There's the autistic community where I am accepted and understood, and there's real life where I am expected to be like everyone else. I hate being stuck between these two worlds. The "reality" of NTs is very different from the reality of us spectrumites. I was often told to stop being autistic and be normal, which is impossible.

If you support neurodiversity, - as I'm sure you do - then you know that the term 'normal' is meaningless as well as offensive, and is only used by ignorant people, of which there are many. It's easier said than done, I know, but don't live your life according to invalid rules laid down by such diminished individuals.

Like most people here, I completely empathise with what you are saying. There are two worlds, and somehow we have to exist in both. This doesn't mean you have to pretend that you are neurotypical, let alone stop being autistic (whoever suggested that needs professional help), but it does require a certain amount of coping. The way you cope is something you have to decide for yourself, it's completely individual, although I'm sure other members on WP can make suggestions.

Don't let the bastards grind you down.

I'm not a supporter of neurodiversity. Do you also expect me to be a suporter of Down's syndrome, Cri-du-chat syndrome, cerebral palsy etc.?
People with normal brains exist and they are all around. They are known as neurotypicals.

I don't even notice how interaction is different on this site. It feels so natural. :?

For an aspie, communicating with other aspies in print is very natural indeed.
Communicating with NTs in real life is a different story.

If not 'support', then perhaps 'accept' neurodiversity. But if you insist on the difference between spectrumites and NTs being insurmountable, then you are probably well and truly stuck in the middle.

It's odd that you think that, considering that you think of yourself as being between two worlds, not just straight up mentally crippled. I myself could give a damn about either conclusion. I'm me and no one or thing is going to change that and I'm fine with myself.

Maybe, but being an aspie in an NT world sucks. It's like being an alien disguised as a human.
Objective reality and how how you see yourself don't matter. How society sees you matters.
I wish I was the only human on the planet, that way I wouldn't have to deal with NTs.

But the real world isn't all that nt as you would believe from screens, those screens are uniformising tools, not even nt's fit these projections they're supposed too fit.
Observe and educate yourself, that alone is a great task and goal.

Sorry, I'll correct it:
I wish everybody was an aspie, that way I wouldn't have to deal with NTs and I wouldn't be stuck between two worlds. I would not have a double life.

But then we wouldn't be unique!

Sorry, had to do it.
