I think a whole lot faster than I used to be able to write, so for a while the school board granted me a scribe to use on tests because my writing was not only illegible, but it would rarely make sense and I had a lot of spelling errors due to my speedy mind. The problem with having a scribe is that when I'm thinking something I rarely have the capacity to put it together and vocalize it in sentences that make sense, or I talk so fast that I stumble over my words, so things got quite a bit worse and they started to think that I was dyslexic. The problem with that thought was that I was in 6th grade and reading old university textbooks for fun, so that idea was thrown out. It really just turns out that my brain works faster than my mouth too, but I've learned to cope and for my notes for class and essays are usually just written in shortform. The only issue I sometimes have is on in-class writing tasks that I have to hand in (such as essays on final exams), and usually if I feel like I'm getting ahead with myself I just stop and re-read what I've written and even if it makes me lose my train of thought I can get it back again pretty quickly.
