I feel sort of childish whenever I flap my hands, because it reminds me of when I used to play with my hands when I was younger.

How about you?

Frankly, no. I do, though, strive to tone down as much as possible when too much observed - nobody's business. But a lot is involuntary and some notr even conscious [until I suddenly realize I \'m doing it.]

Yes it does. And it makes me feel like a ret*d too because my mother told me that it was a "ret*d" habit I have.

I feel very childish especially when I actually look at people when their eyes aren't on my face, but my hands. Seems I distract people a lot when I get fussy or excited and start throwing my wrists or hands around. Even when I'm not talking to anyone, I can end up drawing attention.

The rest of my stims seem like excessive "ordinary" stims like teeth chattering, feet stomping/tapping, etc.

Yea although I like being childish. I keep it low key in public though.

I don't feel childish about it anymore.

I'm pretty sure that I look pretty childish, practicing my drumming, on my knees, while I'm waiting for my ride, to work to arrive. I don't care. It's fun. :D

Yes. I'm usually aware enough not to stim too obviously in public, but when I'm by myself I tend to "come to" and realise I've been doing something silly for the last half hour.

Kinda. I sometimes stim in public, but not as much as I do at home.
