It would be cool if they did an episode about how "curing autism" is BS.

Yeah. But they should do an entire episode about how these fad "treatments" for autism are pretty much crap, and how giving people false hope for a "cure" is complete BS. It would be the best episode ever :D

It would be good and i think they will eventualy get round to how 'Miracle Cures' are BULL! If not already, however i dont know if they would do it specifically on autism but they would mention it since the Miracle Cure company's seem to rly liek autism

The best way to get something done is to write to the person you want to do something. Tell them a good story about how lots of quacks are trying to cure autism with insane ideas and they may do it. Penn already touched the subject briefly with that vlog about the guy who was kicked out of the British medical board.

But yeah, i agree, it would be a good episode.

i like it how the anti-vaccination hippys kept going on about how Jenny McCarthy was the 'voice of the parents of the autistic', yet the show had three parents of an autistic child who disagreed with McCarthy.

I also thought it was nice that the two autistic kids they showed(the one whose father they talked to, then the kid at the very end who got told to look forward) weren't portrayed as horrible burdens on their family who are completely incapable of doing anything. When they showed him they didn't have him there mid-meltdown to make it look horrible, they just showed him going about with life with his parents. And the kid at the end was just standing there like a regular kid.

I found it interesting that Ms. "Green our Vaccines" McCarthy is a big fan of Botox. A neurotoxin. Seriously--she gave an interview once to People magazine about her love of Botox and how she gets it done all the time.

Also liked the comparison between mercury that is supposedly in some vaccines to the amount of mercury in a tuna fish sandwich. Wonder if any of the anti-vaxxers feed their kids any fish?
