It is only flute music, only a small website but some seem to really enjoy the music. Yet could it be a way of raising awareness of autism, like higher functioning individuals?

Tentatively, as I am still yet uncomfortable due to how it might be perceived, I put on my website that I am a person with a mild form of autism. Still to raise awareness beyond me, which I do not want to be felt sorry for, what do I write about autism, or maybe someone could help me here.

I want to have some information concerning autism on my music website that does not offend others with stereotypes or is in some way false. There are government published articles that are public domain that I could use yet even some of those make me feel terrible.

Anyone want to help out with this little awareness project? The music is free, so no money is being made. The website is http://www.simplecomplexities.org.

Just looking for replies with suggestions, opinions and perhaps an article written that others can see and comment about.

you're rather talented there, aren't you? :)

maybe you could get a few people with AS or other types of autism from wrongplanet.net to write something about how they experience living with their condition. This way you don't offend anyone with stereotypes.

I find a lot of support reading about peoples real-life experiences. This way I learn more about myself, and how to deal with my everyday problems.

I hope you find this useful.

Good Luck :)
