I went back to school two days ago, it was great and all, I went outside for lunch, talked to some of my mates, bragged, and joked about stuff etc.... After that we walked up to the bandstand, where there were about 30 something of my friends there. I talked to some of them at the ramp up to the bandstand. Then I start to get this weird spacey feeling, like I smoked a hell of a lot of dope, then I zone out, and I begin to daydream and stuff. There playing this game where you throw some coins somewhere, and in order to get the money you have to fight to fight your way to it. Now look I’m not a passive person, my testosterone levels are probably higher than any of theirs, since I weight train 6 days a week. Yet I still have this happen to me a lot, especially academic stuff that I don't want to do, the harder I try to concentrate the more spacey I get. It's embarrassing ya' know. I mean if I joined in any of those games in that state of mind, my reflexes would be a lot slower than any of theirs.

The thing is that I understand the social rules here; it's just that I forget to play them properly, and the social interactions are easy, but the transition and joining in is hard, if you feel like I do. I don't have any hyperactivity or anything like that, more like the opposite, it's like I'm being tranquilised all the time. I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome when I was 6 or 9, because of my social problems, difficulties paying attention in classrooms, and difficulty shifting attention. It just doesn't fit, something's not right here.

I'm just telling this because I respect you guys, and I'd be grateful of any answers you could give.

Thanks.

I think you should talk to a doctor about it.

I have, I don't trust my psychologist, I don't trust any of them - they tend to be better at generating "theories" about you and giving narratives to your problems, than diagnosing you, slapping on a label, and treating you - which is what I want. He simply just verified my stupid diagnosis. But that's what you get when he starts from the same old diagnosis and working from there, rather than starting from a clean slate, and seeing me separate from my diagnosis.

I'm going to the Maudsley Clinic in about a week's time, to have a full day diagnostic screening and diagnosis.

I guess all I wanted was some opinions from real people like you, not professionals sitting in their ivory towers.

Not every person is skilled at assessing other people, including what might be this or that diagnosis. If my experiences are dissimilar to what someone else wrote, then I haven't much comment because I can't relate-and that's no one's fault. Same sort of perception or interpretation can be due to differing reasons, so from outside situation it's hard to guess.
Here's an article (called "is it asperger's or adhd ?") anyway:

You have a lot of variables in the post (including possible use of illicit drugs). A weird, spacey feeling can be associated with some of the many subtle epilepsies (petit mal/absence/complex partial/TLE and so on). You might consider making an appointment with your family doctor and take it from there.
