I'm looking for someone to volunteer to revive the Dear Aspie column. If you think you have the skill and the time to write the Dear Aspie column, please respond to this thread with some ideas for new columns along with some writing samples of your work.

I wanna try to do this although I'm only 23 but I do have mild autism. And I have a brother with sever autism who is 15. I wanna help others like him and me so I at least wanna try this. The only example I have of any writings is my blog and this thing doesn't let me post links. The link is on my Twitter profile though. So please read it and follow it. Ty.

Alex,

I am very interested in doing this. I have written columns for a web site on a volunteer basis previously and I will PM some writing samples to you. Also, I am at least somewhat qualified to give advice as I teach life enhancement classes professionally in a rehabilitation environment; I also work as a life coach. I have a web site here: www.stevelifecoach.com. You may look at my resume there. I believe there is a link.

Thank you,
Steve

This sounds like a very fun and cool thin for someone to do. I am not the person to do this. Along with only being self diagnosed, I haven't even come close to fully grasping what is Asperger's and what might have been environmental growing up.

Although I don't think I would say no if I was chosen.

Some members who have done a wonderful job summarizing their perspective for our NT parents include but are not limited to:

Tracker
OddFiction

And more that just aren't floating to the top of my head right now.

Assuming any of them would want to volunteer, and depending on who the target for the column is ... sorry, didn't read all the background on the goal of the column (I'm lazy about that sort of detail, I confess it).

Just ... any small way I can show how much we've appreciated the effort some members have put forth on behalf of our often NT parents, I want to do it.
