Hi everyone,
I will be taking several of your questions from this post and answering them in my next column.

How can you find motivation to exercise when you're constantly exhausted, have low neurological muscle tone, and just putting together a sandwich or salad makes you so tired you have to stop and sit down half-way through?

How can I get to sleep when being tired makes my executive function crash so I forget about it or can't transition?

Tips to stay away from junk? Sure I COULD not go out to say Pizza Hut etc. with family but I like family time even if it is going out to eat. There is all this talk of eating healthy and yet going out with family is Pizza Hut/Mcdonald's etc. Also with the holidays approaching do you not have Thanksgiving Turkey?! !! !! I can't imagine trying to eat healthy. LOL! Sorry. BTW your column and the fact I'm in a Health/Wellness College course has peaked my interest perhaps I should get out and start walking if it's just a mile a day that's a start. A good goal would be not to be so tired and to be able to physically handle another vacation trip to NYC (all the walking my feet were killing me!) LOL! Keep up the good work. :-)

not a question, but a testimonial......was in terrible shape physically and mentally. serious depression.....causing all sorts of problems.

started running out of desperation, 1/4 mile at first. very slow. gradually increased distance and with that came speed. 1 mile, 5 miles, 10 miles, half-marathon,(wow), and finally a full marathon. along the way i learned how to ride a bicycle and spent more time on the bike than on foot. started bicycle racing and competed all over. started traveling and ran a marathon on every continent except antarctica along with a century bike ride on same. ran across the ngorongoro crater in tanzania. highlight of running career.

while training for antarctic trip was run over by drunk driver. destroyed.

would not trade a thing. for 6 years or so i was happy for the first time in my life/maybe last time.

my physical condition was superb during transformation. 5'10" 150+/-lbs pulse 40.

even better, the mental health change was stunning. the depression was gone. the horrors of my childhood were of no concern. it was amazing.

those 6 years were worth the 'dying'.

running/cycling perfect sports for those with a.s. no doubt about that.

use me if you want. i doubt if many people, spectrum or nt's, have experienced the change that i did.
