Once I move out for indipendent living I have to make a choice. Either a membership at the private gym down the street or internet. Since I already have done 10 miles a day for several weeks on a magnetic bike I will just go for the gym. IT's something I will do and it improves health, the internet is like the TV a mental black hole. I don't like it.

This until I am through with the waiting list for housing support. Until I get that there will be hardly any money after rent. That will take 6 months to 2 years for the section 8 list.

Life without the internet seems much more promising. In fact like some old folks I hate pagers and cell phones. Personally they intrude upon ones thought process when they make sounds and are annoying.

I'll still have my computer maybe I can write or play a few games every once and a while.

Anyone else have a form of autism and want to live more indipendently? IF you cannot maintain employment and you are on disability, it's hard!

I found another store I want to try to work at next to where I want to move, I got the rental application today. I think I can help cateogorize products in there proper place. It's the same thing all the time..

Also the thought of making everything look ordered to the eye seems appeasing. I suppose that's sort of odd.. oh well..

I say congratulations to you! :D

Personally, I couldn't live without the internet (lol). Most of the exercises you can do at the gym can be done at home, so I just settle for that. I haven't been to the gym in a few years, but I sometimes do other things like swimming, playing squash, jogging or push-ups at home or whatever else takes my fancy.

But hey, you've made a decision that I never could! That's commendable! I hope you still have internet access in time to read this post. Maybe you could use library computers or go to internet cafes occasionally to check out the site.

Your friend, the guy who joined the site as you were leaving

Ben

Although moving can be exciting, it doesn't half kick you where it hurts, the back pocket!

I had to live without internet for about a month and a half to two months, I feel better now that I have it back as I am able to keep in contact with friends that I don't see that often/at all more regularly.

I think I will like not having the internet. IT will allow for the development of more interests. Right now I do not live next to anything reasonble in walking distance. It is more like a jail cell but high class.

I dont really have online friends or contacts to keep up with. IT is for the best.

Hmm... Well, what about libraries? They offer internet, but limit your time on their computers. Most will allow half an hour to an hour a day. If there is a library near you, you needn't give up the Internet completely.

Nope no libraries within walking distance. Honeslty I have little interests with the internet. I goto this site mostly and randomly a few others and that's it.

When living in fresno it's the only thing I could think of doing, I could not even get to the store to get house plants or plant flowers in front of the old apartment. Here 2 of the stores have plants regularly, even special dirt and fertilizer.

I use the internet as a result of bordom. It is little interestest to me otherwise.

When it comes down to it, the only focus I have is partial self-sustainment by attempts of employment and a girlfriend. Little else interests me.

You can also use the library for the Internet. I sometimes do, because library machines are faster than dial-up, and I have dial-up at home. At night, of course, I don't.

Well, disregard my previous post. I didn't read the entire thread before posting it.

Anyhow, I couldn't live without the Internet. It's sort of an obsession with me. I'm on it almost every single hour of the day, even use it during commercial breaks when watching TV shows at primetime. I have it on so much that some people have complained that they couldn't get in contact with us via the phone. At times, I trek down to the library, where I can download stuff, since it's a lot faster. I'm still stick in the old ages, since I have dial-up.

I doubt, though, if many people here would want to see you leave.

I will be offline until I get section 8, I might send multiple letters to them.

I wont be moving for a while, I'm just a text thing on the screen though.
