Are you of the opinion that "projects" are synonymous with "clutter"? They can be fun to do while they last, but I've noticed they hold no value whatsoever after a week and will only end up in a recycle bin.

Apparently I'm as easily bored as I am easily amused..

lol one of my older projects is providing power to my workshop, and may soon be powering everyones cars.

Cool, I'm planning an electric bike at the moment, looking for a good power source.

I could never throw out old projects, even the half finished ones (I'm getting around to it, i swear  ). The best ones i still use everyday, you should hear what a hand built speakers can do

now the piles of industrial parts, that I swear I will find a use for soon ... some of that might be clutter

Lol ok let me rephrase that.. the side effects of my projects are huge amounts of clutter, for example but not limited to: gutted appliances, old car parts, gutted tvs, misc industrial equipment from auctions, and vehicles no longer oem or street legal...

My room is full of gutted computer parts; sound cards, DVD burners, harddrives, cables, etc. I didn't try to fix them but want to one day use them for something.

I do lots of projects with little to no clutter. The type of projects I do ( electronics, small robot building, guitar mods, etc) don't take up a lot of space. It helps that I have a workshop just for my projects.
It also helps that I am obsessive about organization. If I have no use for something I part it out or I throw it out.

When I am working on a project, there will be tools and parts all over the place. But when I'm done, the next project is always organizing all the tools. Its like "socializing" with my tools. I love my tools.

I have lots of little bins full of parts, all organized by some type of classification.

I don't have nearly the amount of junk I had before I got married. Now that I'm divorced, the pile is starting to grow again. I need to stay on top of it or it will take over the house. And no more cars. Cars aren't allowed in my "project space" anymore, after having to get rid of 7 of them when I got married.

I never seem to clean up sawdust, metal shavings, bits of wire or solder...

Well, I'm like the opposite of a hoarder. I'm not just obsessive about being organized, I'm obsessive about throwing out crap. If it's something that has no immediate use, it's crap. If it's usable but it doesn't look like something you can get from a store, it's crap.
