I hate the sound of chewing gum

i'm suppose to be in math class right now, and there are several people chewing gum with their mouths hanging open. worst than cows, some of them. they make me irrationally angry. i'm trying to concentrate, i don't need to be hearing what's going on in the inside of their mouths while i'm trying to learn about binomials, trinomials, and degrees.

Lol, I was just happening to chew gum while I was reading this. Hehehehe, but yeah I don't like it when people chew with their mouth openned, it's nasty. If it really annoy you, you can just tell them politely to stop. If they don't, tell it to a teacher. Most schools have anti-gum policy due to jerks (curiously the only people I know who sticked their gum in wrong places where NT's, coincidence?) sticking them under desks or chewing too loud.

If people are going to chew gum, they should at least have the decency to chew it, with their mouths closed.

I find it distracting, too.

I find any eating noises highly irritating :/

Here's a gum story.

Years ago, I was taking a college class. I could not concentrate on what the teacher was saying because this woman behind me was slurping and snapping her gum in a loud, revolting way. Not only that, but it was grape flavored, and had a really strong smell.

I hate confrontation, but I couldn't tolerate that, so I asked her as politely as I could if she would please refrain from chewing like that. I'm more or less NT, I think, but believe me, we aren't born knowing how to handle something like that perfectly. Still, I'm sure I was reasonably nice about it.

When I was finished asking her that, her multitude of friends gathered around me, got in my face, and told me I'd better watch my step, and I had no right to tell her what to do. Et cetera.

For the rest of the term, they were all tough and bully-like with me. It really made my college experience unpleasant. And this was a community college full of thugs and morons who bullied the teachers just as much as the rest of the students.
