We naturally hold our bodies in the proper posture for NTs who would like to telegraph that they hate themselves and the world and would double-cross you as soon as blink.

Exist.

Sorry, I do understand what you're asking, but there are just so many things that upset neurotypicals. The more absurd the rule, the more it seems to upset them when it is broken. Pointing out how absurd it is just makes it worse. They expect us to stop doing all the things that annoy them - but then expect us to swallow all our annoyance at the things they do that are hard on us.

What we think is normal is weird to an NT

Just being different actually IS enough to irritate people. The entire point of group think and social norms is to create an environment with less anxiety. As long as the group is thinking the same thing and behaving the same way, there are less individual feelings of insecurity. Anything outside the accepted norm is immediately viewed with suspicion. It is enough for an Aspie to move in an odd manner to create unease in an NT. There is an intuitive sense that an Aspie is NOT part of the group. So while I was facetious in saying "breathe" in my previous post to this thread, it is not that far from the truth. Just my atypical eye contact is enough to create the level of mistrust reserved for outsiders. This is exacerbated because even if I encounter a person magnanimous enough to suspend that initial mistrust, my continued display of atypical behaviors will re-enforce the initial assessment of my outsider status.

Not all NTS are the same though some are nice and accepting of course.

Weird though how the nicest people you will ever meet are quite ecentric and display autistic traits without being on the spectrum Normal normal people are just sh***y and fustrating to talk too.

The ignorance that people have about people who are different from the norm.

I agree at the end of the day we are all human beings but then again there is going to be conflict in the world. Woulden't the world be a boring place if there was no conflict? NTS hating on Aspies is like any other conflict in the world. Just like straight people hating on Homosexuals.

Heck even NTS hate on NTS for different reasons.

At the end of the day you just have got to deal with the hand that your dealt with.

Accepting the hand I'm dealt would be a lot easier if there wasn't always some ass hat NT stealing my best cards.

There have been a number of times that people have decided they didn't like me but there was no previous interaction to base their dislike on. In other words, something about me rubbed them the wrong way. I think my lack of effort to be a part of the group makes them think I'm a snob or something.

You got it in one aimless. that is why my own friends have drifted a way from me a little bit.

I think we probably need to make a bit more of an effort to blend in and be part of the group if we want to keep friends.

Hey guys I find NTS so baffiling. Any tips on how I can figure them out better so as not be in conflict with them all the time?
