Do you or have you harmed yourself when pushed or over stimulated.

When I was a kid, up until 10, I used to hit my head or bang my head against the wall when I was upset.

Yeah, and banging my head remains an instinct, but I can usually stop myself because there is a fear of headache available in my mind. Now, I reroute to my limbs. I'll bloody my arms or feet, but I hate a headache. And if it helps me avoid brain injury and a day-long throbbing in my head, great.

Getting in the tub and having my head underwater helps as well.

I began self-harming myself at age 12 because of an identity crisis I was having. I would stab myself on the hand with a pencil and scratch and hit myself. It evolved into cutting myself with scissors and thumbtacks.

I've pretty much stopped doing that, although I will admit that I occasionally relapse to self-harming myself at times of extreme stress and frustration by cutting myself with a thumbtack.

I banged my head on the wall as a kid sometimes. As a teen/young adult I've kind of taken up cutting. Currently trying to stop.

I used to scratch myself pretty badly with a pair of compasses and later started cutting myself on the forearms. I also would hit myself at times. Just extreme frustration with my limitations I think. I don't do that anymore and haven't for a long time. Although the instinct to hit my head is still there.

I've hit my head(with my fist) in the past because of anger because I didn't want to harm/break any objects, but now I refrain from hitting myself, but if I get really angry I might punch my dresser or my thigh. Occasionally in the past I have "beaten" (By beaten I mean hit anything below my neck multiple times.) myself from anger or when I feel I have done something horribly wrong.

I self-harmed almost daily between the ages of 13-15 but that was mostly due to hearing Voices and being extremely stressed and self-loathing
