is it possible for AS to get worse over time? Seems more and more stuff is bothering me lately and I've been saying strange and unusual things to people I meet and in the internet. More so than usual that is.

I'm thinking of asking my doctor for something to help. Maybe geodon.

I would very much like to not feel uncomfortable as I do in social situations and I would like to be able to be more easy-going, laid back and less rigid.

I hope this makes sense.

I don't think AS itself varies over time. It's usually the comorbids that do. But having AS can make the comorbids more extreme.

I don't know what would help you feel more comfortable in social situations. As I aged and matured, I found just avoiding them best for me. I take a focusing drug for behaving myself at work, and a anti depressant to keep me buoyant and as non-complaining as I ever get, also for work. But having a life out side of work is mostly just 'down time' to prepare me for the next work day.

If you do find something, please post it here, MasterJedi, it would help a lot of people.

I have contemplated asking my Dr. about LSD-25 or psilocybin. Maybe a little ego death is what I need.

Has anything changed recently?

If doctors start prescribing useful drugs, I might just think about going back to one.

I know it's not the same for all, but I had a bad experience with Geodon. I was complaining about my lack of will and was prescribed low dose Geodon as a supplement to my antidepressants. They are difficult to take, you have to eat at least 500 calories when you take it or else it's not released into your system properly. At first it was great and I felt motivated to do things. Then the fatigue overrode the will and it wasn't working so well. Then I started having involuntary movements of my tongue and jaw and went off immediately as instructed. I was on a very low dose for only 2 months but the withdrawal was really rough with intense dizzy spells and body aches. Also for a full day my voice was affected. My vocal chords were doing weird things and my voice gurgled like a Wookie. That has happened to others as well. I think it's spasmodic dysphonia. I could not reproduce the sound if I tried and since it's neurological I don't know if it will come back. It is a powerful drug and should be approached with caution. I am now feeling worse than I did before it was prescribed.

my goodness! I haven't cleared my chakras like that for a along time! I would think my body would get in the way, big time, though. I know my soul would benefit, but my physical body only knows I stayed up for a long time and didn't remember to hydrate and take my meds.

however. . if time and place ever manifested, I would not be adverse to cleanse the perceptions.
I am certain it will do me a world of good.

I don't think so. I think it just seems that way because of what goes on in your life, depression and anxiety can make it worse for one.
