I'm soo upset I went shopping, and met someone I went to school with once.
We never were friends or so, but she started talking, so after she told me what job she has and such things, I told her that I might have AS and explained it to her.
After that she said: I always knew that something with you was wrong, but now I know you are a ret*d mutant.
I was speechless I don't understand this, I mean, why did she talk to me, if she don't like me?
If I don't like someone, I don't talk to them. This reaction makes me sad I can't stop thinking about this..

She probably was just kidding I say stuff like that all the time to friends. Someone stubs their toe I say "Oh, Oh time for amputation." They have a headache I say "Oh, oh I think its a tumor." If I female friend says she has an upset stomach I say "whoops, someones pregnate." I am pretty sure she was kidding like that.

You should feel lucky you weren't friends with her in school. And yes, her erratic change from nice to mean was disturbing.

People I went to school with still sneer at me in the street, probably because my slender figure hasn't changed a single bit over the years

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think she was joking
I mean I haven't seen her for years and in school she never talked to me.
And she didn't smile when she was saying that ( I joke with my mom sometimes, but then we always smile, the same with my best Friend)
I just don't understand why she started talking to me first. But I have heard things like: Oh no I don't want to talk to this person, I hope they don't see me! from NT friends before when we were somewhere and I never understood this, I also don't understand people calling someone, altough they don't like them.
If I see someone I don't like, I don't ask them how they are and what they are doing and why they are doing this..

Maybe she thought her joke was funny. Was she acting the same way before and after that comment?

Anyway if she meant to be funny I hope she learns some day how to actually be funny, because her comments were pretty upsetting, or at least I know I would have been pretty upset.

Some NTs feel the need to show off to people they perceive to be inferior to them. At the same time they feel energised by putting others down to boost their own insecurity. If it was a joke it sure seemed malicous, and at your expence.

The thing that confuses me most is, that after she said that to me, she walked away without saying another word to me.
If it was a joke, then it was a bad one in my opinion

Is it really so surprising that in your entire school there should be at least one person who is sociopathic enough to categorize someone with AS as a "ret*d mutant"?

You should not take being disliked personally. It says much more about her than it does about you.

With her not smiling and just walking away after saying that, I dont think it was a joke.

One thing about NTs is they love gossip (something i really hate) and often will go out of their way to get a new juicy piece of gossip some would say.

Her approaching you.. was probably more so along this line.. she wanted to know things about you (nosey) so she could go and tell all her friends about it all later.

Yeah I just found out it wasn't a joke someone who has her and me as friend on facebook told me she has posted it on her wall, saying that she met me and what I told her and called me a ret*d mutant again
I don't know what her problem is, I never did anything to her

Maybe she was jealous of something about you and wanted to put you down to ease her own insecurity.

As I said above, I still get sneers from my former classmates because I haven't ruined my figure by having 5 kids to different fathers like they have. They're jealous that I haven't changed since high school. It might be the same in your case.

Obviously her attitude hasn't changed since high school. Be above her and don't let this get to you.

Next time you are unfortunate enough to be spoken to by her, look her straight in the eye (or a spot on her forehead if you can't manage eye contact), tell her in a clear, firm, articulate voice to 'f**k off' and then turn you back on her and walk away.

I don't understand jealousy, I don't know, she is not fat or so.
Yeah I will do that if I ever meet her again, I was just speechless when she said that to me.
I can't look people in the eyes without feeling extremely uncomfortable, but I can stare at a point near the eyes.
I just don't understand, why people have to be so intolerant. Sadly, a lot of my ex-classmates are like that ( a lot of them commented with things like lol or she is a freak on her fb post about me)
