Does anybody here have the same opinion?

Absolutely. I know of several people who have died with a big question mark in their minds, and I believe that does not need to happen.

I notice a lot more detail and I'm able to appreciate the beauty of the world around me. I'm able to slow down and take it all in. Most people don't allow themselves the time to do that.

I like a lot of things about having AS. But, I usually stress the positives about my special intense interests and talents (I am a talent savant). I like to think of life (AS or whatever) as a hand of dealt cards. You play the good cards.

I am all about details and rarely think of the big picture. I go through phases of enjoying this and not enjoying this. For me the best part of aspie is getting lost in a special interest. That is when I feel best. I'm an artist and last spring I became mesmerized by tree sillouettes. I did several mixed media collages with this theme, now I'm not seeing the trees the same way. I'd like to be back in that space. So for me, it comes and goes.

Socrates - the unexamined life is not worth living.

Have always been amazed how people don't pay attention.

Seeing a high amount of detail and appreciating the beauty in everyday simple objects that other people don't notice.

Able to easily relieve myself from stress by stimming, acting child-like or spending time on a special interest.

Analyzing everything and wanting to know what things mean or want to break them down to a molecular level.

Coming up with wild ideas and actually trying to put them into practice.

Being both artistic and logical.

Stubborn dedication to bettering myself (lose weight, overcome anxiety, be more productive, etc).

Disinterested in social drama even if people try to involve me.

Not even noticing peer pressure to give in to it. Being much more of an individual.

Feeling intense emotion from music and colours.

Perfect mimicry of accents.

And last but not least: physics is cool. And having a detailed long term memory for facts.

I never thought ''best'' and ''Aspergers'' would be in the same sentence.......
